The ten language versions
Each version has its own writing stance. These are the differences that show in the text:
- German: refined, matter-of-fact tone
- Swiss German: Swiss spelling without ß, thousands separated by an apostrophe (1’250’000)
- English (UK): British spelling, for example “metres” and “neighbourhood”
- English (US): American spelling, for example “neighborhood” and “license”
- Español: precise naming of municipality and area
- Français: polite “vous”, plain elegance
- Italiano: polite “Lei”, warmth without exaggeration
- Nederlands: more direct tone, the drawbacks of a property are named
- Русский: respectful “вы”
- Svenska: the plainest tone, understatement instead of sales language
Why not simply translate
A translation keeps the text but not what the reader is looking for in it. What sounds refined in German comes across as pushy in Swedish, and what a Dutch buyer wants to know first may sit at the very end of the German listing. That is why XORO writes each version anew from the data.
How to get several languages
- Create a property or read in an existing listing, and check the details
- Choose language version and tone, generate the dossier
- For another language, generate the same property again in the other version
- Each version can be sent as a link of its own, with statistics on opens
What you should check
XORO checks the numbers, not the style. If you do not speak the language yourself, have someone who does read the text before you send it.
